The Waves

By Ray Cruz

April 8, 2011

We know not when but they will come …
The waves
And when they come they will be strong …
The waves

A child plays a mother prays
A worker rests for his next test
A silent gull a hapless seal
The morning bright no storm in sight

Tsunami forces shake the ground
Chaos, destruction all around
No time to pray no safe place found
The sounds of crashing death abound

We know not when but they will come …
The waves
And when they come they will be strong …
The waves

The waves will come ...
